Correlations between CPS and other instruments assessing creativity support its construct validity. Cronbach's alpha, interrater and test-retest coefficients suggest the scale's consistency and reliability. Factor analysis offers 5 factors that explain 55% of the variance, showing moderate correlations between the factors that point towards the scale's unidimensionality. ANOVA results show just a few significant gender and age differences. To analyse the scale's validity 10 assessment instruments were applied. The scale was administered to the subjects and also to their teachers and parents. The study used both descriptive and correlational methodology as well as factorial analysis to identify the underlying dimensions of the CPS. The pilot sample was 139 children aged 10 to 11 years. The study sought to explore the psychometric properties of the Creative Personality Scale (CPS), a scale aimed to assess creative behaviour and creative personality traits.
